The world is living on the edge threatened by the spreading scourge of terrorism and war mongering. Vast majority of the people live in conditions of abject poverty, ignorance and disease. Corrupt leadership exploits them to perpetuate themselves in power. Narrow outlook on patriotism leads to conflicts among nations and justify piling up of weapons of mass destruction.

It is time a new leadership with a global outlook takes over and put the world in order. Security for life, property, food and health is possible only by a global effort. Disparities in terms of resources have to be reduced. Priorities must change. Making weapons and maintaining armed forces should not take precedence over welfare programs. Discontent and frustration resulting from poverty and unemployment give rise to terrorism. Crimes are committed by corruption of mind. Corrupt leadership and bad governance lead to dictatorship putting freedom and peace in peril.

Technology has brought people and nations closer together. Satellites and computers are breaking the barriers against free flow of information. The right kind of knowledge must be made available to all the people that will inspire them to break the shackles that bind them and to rise in revolt against suppression and injustice.

'A world without conflicts, Nations without borders and people committed to Truth and non-violence.' However distant and utopian it may seem, a journey toward this objective is by itself rewarding.
